About US Calculator

Built and maintained by one developer. Free, private, and checked against official sources.

Who is behind this site

Ruslan Adilgereev

Software developer, Berlin, Germany

US Calculator is designed, coded and maintained by Ruslan Adilgereev. It is the US counterpart of Deutschlandrechner, a German calculator site by the same developer that follows the same rules: exact formulas, official sources, no sign-up, nothing stored.

What US Calculator is

347 free online calculators for the United States: mortgage and home, loans, savings, investing and retirement, taxes and paychecks, health, construction, math and everyday tools. Every calculation runs in your browser. Your inputs are never sent to a server and nothing is stored.

How the calculators are built

Financial-math tools (mortgage, loan, amortization, compound interest, present and future value) use the exact standard formulas, so a result is deterministic and can be checked by hand. Tax and benefit tools use the figures the government publishes: federal brackets, standard deductions and FICA rates from the IRS and the Social Security Administration, mortgage rules from the CFPB, HUD and the VA, wage and price data from the Department of Labor and the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and student loan rules from studentaid.gov. Health tools follow WHO and NIH definitions.

Secondary sources are not used. If a number cannot be traced to an official publication, it does not go into a calculator.

How results are checked

Before a calculator goes live, its output is recomputed independently for several worked examples, including edge cases such as zero interest, partial years or amounts above a contribution limit. Every calculator page shows a "Last updated" date, the method used, what the calculation includes and what it leaves out, and a worked example you can reproduce yourself. Official figures are reviewed whenever the IRS, the SSA or the other agencies publish new values, typically once a year.

Corrections

If a result looks wrong, write to hello@us-calculator.com with the calculator name and the inputs you used. Confirmed errors are fixed and the page's update date changes, so you can see that something moved.

Not professional advice

The calculators provide estimates for general information only. They are not financial, tax, investment, medical or legal advice. For decisions that matter, consult a qualified professional who knows your situation.

How it is funded

The site is free and supported by advertising through Google AdSense. There are no affiliate deals, no lead forms and no premium tier. Ads never influence a result, and no calculator steers you toward a product.
